Creation of a Gothic
Contemporary font.

Advanced degree project
in Typographic design, École Supérieure Estienne des Arts
et Industries Graphiques ;

Blackletters, mainly present in brand names, are no longer used as a legible typography. Fascinated
by this world, I created a legible and contemporary gothic font, keeping the specificity of those letters. Designed for long texts, the Audelet is adapted to our contemporary reading habits.
It exists in 3 versions ; for the original version, the breaks and the regular rhythm of the strokes are based on the Textura family. Used as an italic, the second version is inspired from another gothic family : the Cursives. The third version is used for titles
and headlines. Each version is decined in different weights.
